Yeah this one came out way better.

 

I figured out the damn U joint!!! the column is keyed on one side just had to be the side I couldn't see. I found that out after pulling the column I shaved it down and the fucker slides right in I did remove quite a bit of the splines on the other side so i drilled and tapped the column so the set screw go through it. And no welding it on

Wile i had it out I did the tack weld mod as well as set me ribbon cable perfect so I didn't snap it. It all took about an hour to pull everything do the mods and install it all back in.

 

Shift knob? ha

 

Those are for babies, no need for a knob.

 

Oh the center console is still all tore out that will be the last thing I do before the truck is driving again.

 

When I installed the URD shortshifter on my last Taco I was definitely excited to drive it and did my first loop around town with no shift knob and the center console and all the parts sliding around in the back seat ha

Wish I lived closer Jerry. I'd love to swing by and gawk. For now, I'm just glad you take quality photos.

 

Well I think PSC sent the wrong pulley I'll be calling in the morning to find out what's going on.






And I just wanted to show how bad ass these calipers are I can swap the pads in about 1min with no tools









I dry fitted the Yukon locks to measure for my shafts.












Also the spacers for the knuckles just wouldn't fit on the lower side so I turned them down 0.0524" and now they fit like a glove

Stubs and calipers installed I'll be ordering my front and rear axle shafts this week.

 

Damn, those are some easy ass calipers! Quick change pads for sure.

Yeah they are I'm glad i went with the 6 pistons up front I just about did the 4's all around and oh fuck it I want the 6's up front

Shit I know I'm trying I do still have to work I'm not going to rush it If I don't make it then so be it. I'm just about done with the front I'm building the rear axle tomorrow evening to measure for shafts. I think it will be done in time but you never know what could happen. I do also have a son coming in 3 weeks so that might make it so I can't go as well.

 

Yeah when I called Willwood to talk about MC replacement I told him the stock one is 13/16th and I was wondering if I needed larger. He said if you want to do indos go for it but trust me those 6 pistons will stop on a dime with a 13/16th MC.

 

well we are all rooting for you haha! When do the ORIs get put on the front?

or are you building both axles completely then slapping them on all at once and heading out to fine tune it

I should have them this week then I get to figure out how to put them in with the no room I have.

Yeah I'm building the whole truck and then going wheeling to make sure it's all good then I'll rip it all apart and powder coat everything once I know it's all good. I might go to MOAB before powder coat just to make sure everything is how I want it. I'll just prime everything so it don't rust.
