    so where does a flat bed/no bed come in? all you are doing is eliminating sheet metal, which is what you are trying to avoid hitting in the first place. So whats the harm in cutting it.

    I have a hard time believing you'd cut anything on your truck..period :rolleyes:

    I'd rather drag my steel plate bumper over rocks rather then my shackles which could lead to bent leafs.

    I'm saying over bobing isn't a good thing

    I'd rather drag a bumper then shackles.

    What should my voltage at the battery be after the truck has set for a while. Lets say 12 hours. Has anyone with a meter checked theirs?

    Depends on the battery. My volt meter reads 13.9-14v while running

    I can run my stereo all day and my volt meter will drop to 11v by the end of the day. Still starts perfect. If it sits all day without starting or anything, it shouldnt even drop 0.1 volt

    I have a feeling it'll be like your valence..you'll do it...then regret it. Haha

    All you need it some tubing or something under it and it'll be fine.

    Dragging your tow hitch isn't comparable to the bedsides. That's like a 5-6" difference

    Between 12.8-11.2v

    Why your battery going bad?
