Hey Fred thanks for letting us come up and fuck around! Always fun. Thanks to everyone who cooked awesome food. Always a good time hanging out with you guys.

I looked for my spare tire again yesterday and never found it, so if anyone ever sees it or the trasharoo let me know.

I don't see the relevance.. They were tighter than I do with a breaker bar.

Spending half an hour trying to get up that stupid dirt pile and smashing my spare tire on the ground must've broken the lug nuts loose and then 50 miles of gravel roads loosened them up some more. The lesson learned is to check the lug nuts while wheeling, and to put a bike lock on the spare to hold it to the tire carrier if it happens again.

Big thanks to Ben for giving me one of his old big horns so I have a matching spare again. Just need to get a wheel for it.

Cordless impacts are fine to use, as long as its big enough. I know of a lot of race teams that use them.

Idk if it wouldve helped. I'm not a huge proponent of loctite since shit siezes up so much around here. I usually just use anti sieze and tighten it down real good. I think I'll be adding some sort of a strap to hold the tire no matter what.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe loctite acts as an anti-seizing agent since it fills the gaps and prevents air from getting in. And I hope you don't use anti seize on your lug nuts, you never ever ever ever use anti seize on lug nuts.

Wut? Loctite is the opposite as anti seize. It fills the threads with glue.

Sure you can. I put a dab on mine all de time.

Josh how many lug nutz does your rack have holding the tire?

From permatex web site for blue loctite. "Protects threads from corrosion." What do you think anti seize is doing?

Seriously, don't put anti seize on your lugs, they are taken off constantly, there's no reason for it and reduces the applied torque value.

Edit: Sorry had that backwards, you end up putting more force on your studs with anti seize making them more likely to snap.
