    How much is the core charge? I am thinking about preemptively swapping mine out and going this route as well. The ones on RockAuto go for $85, so getting an oem one with a better boot for ~$125 (I am guessing) sounds pretty good.

    I picked an oem cv up at a junkyard for $95. $250 doesn't seem worth it to me. If I couldn't find junkyard ones I would get a couple cheapos with the warranty on them and use that when they broke.

    Yeah I think that was posted in another thread about being a lousy spotter. Pritchett Canyon requires a decent rig, a good portion of bravery and a little bit of crazy. :) Good driving skill can make all the difference but won't get you through without a little bit of all those other things too.
