Im also gonna try the Valvoline Maxlife that is compatible for WS fluid vehicles.

At 9.33 a quart for almost 14QT's for Toyota WS from the dealer,

I think ill maybe try out the Maxlife for much less. Im not scared to take risks and tear apart vehicles.

 

Just don't accidentally put engine oil or tranny oil in the coolant or any other input that it doesn't belong in.

 

Haha....I know the difference between a tranny pan and engine pan..haha, im not new to working on cars.

Completely built my 94 Supra...so im sorta familiar with toyotas. Fully built the motor, singled it, and changed from auto to manual. Its not my first rodeo.

I used Maxlife fluid and haven't had no problem. Has better reviews than most trans. fluid. Good luck just take your time.

 

Thanks. One thing I find odd is I was able to get the fluid fully looking good. Did the trans temp fluid check fine bit with my truck idling I never could really get anything to come out of the fluid level check plug. I used more than enough fluid. Even went through 16 qts to be completely sure I'm not low. Only a trickle would come out at idle. Barely enough to even be noticed. If I cut the truck off the fluid would come running out that hole like crazy. I did this chane to try to resolve the trans shudder at part throttle with the 3 to 4 gear that some people get while in OD around 35 to 40mph. It didnt resolve mine. Not sure where to go next.

 

I was able to finally get it sorted...I needed a little more and then got it to flow out of the check plug. Things seem good for now.

 

It was less noticeable but I haven't had enough time to test out at that certain speed gear and rpm combo yet to make a final answer or decision.

 

Update...The shudder I was having seems to be pretty much gone now.
