iPod Nano in dash?

I've seen a few people replace their truck's standard clock with 6th gen iPod Nanos. I would love to try this mod with a 7th gen Nano on my 2001 Tacoma, but I haven't seen it done in a Tacoma yet. The Nano looks like it would almost be a perfect fit, but before I go taking stuff apart I'd like to see one done so I could kind of have some guidelines, or know if i'd even like it. So any help would be nice!

I think it's a badass idea. Pretty self explanatory. The second link shows how simple it could be.

I'll be the devil's advocate:

I think it would be awkward (and potentially dangerous) to operate a Nano in the factory clock space on a 1st gen while driving.

Just my opinion.

 

Ipod nano would be too small and awkward, Ipod touch would be perfect though!

 

I wouldn't operate it while driving. I would just use a clock app and have the USB hooked up to my radio. I would control everything with my stereo.

 

This is an awesome idea.

I will be the guinea pig in seeing how easy it is to use it while driving!
