Underside of the bed now has a thick coat of rubberized undercoat on top of the rust bullet coating. I guess the only drawback here is I added 20 pounds to the trucks weight between the Rust Bullet® and the rubberized undercoat.

The inside of the bed is being stripped of paint so I can apply the rust bullet. The brown at the bottom is not rust. Its the naval jelly I painted over small rust spots to protect it while I worked my way to this point.

The small spots of rust are the result of the previous owner installing a plastic bed liner. Those liners are terrible. I am going to grind the rust away then apply the thick rust bullet coating.

Removed all of the paint on the outside of the bed then sprayed the first coat of rust bullet on it.

Got the bed mounted. It went on a lot easier than I thought it would. It dropped almost perfectly in place. We had to adjust it less than an inch to align the mounting bolts. The silver on the outside of the bed is the Rust Bullet. This bed has it on every surface. Hopefully this will protect the bed for many years to come. I just have to finish up the rear of the bed where I couldnt get when it was standing up on that end.

Raptor Liner will work great on the bed. I used it on my trailer and love it. The finish is by far the best of the DIY liners.

My son spraying the Raptor Liner

Here is the final Raptor liner bed. The bed of the truck is now done. Think its overkill? Frame totally coated with Rust Bullet. Bed stripped down and sprayed all over with Rust Bullet in, out, top, bottom. Undercoat on frame and under bed. Raptor line inside of bed. If this shit rusts then nothing short of a stainless bed will work.

We pulled the seat and carpet out. The floor was filled with good news. No rust at all. We are going to see that it stays that way by coating it with bedliner.
