So I just bought my first Tacoma, I previously had a 86' pickup that was murdered (i.e. pulled out in front of), and I was wondering if anybody has what is called the "all weather flooring and door sill protectors" option added to their Tacoma. I was under the impression (dealer) that this option replaced the carpet in the truck with some sort of vinyl/rubber/etc. material. Is this true? Has anyone removed their carpeting to replace with some sort of plastic or bed-coating like material? Any pictures?

Yes, I have it and it is rubber/vinyl. Yes, it is awesome.

Search "All Weather Flooring" and you'll see pics of it from factory as well as one or two people who have installed after purchase.

The all weather flooring is fantastic, I'd never go back to having carpet in a truck.

Does anyone know if the rubber flooring would fit my '05?

Why Toyota made a truck with carpet everywhere is beyond me. Carpet + woods = no bueno.

Probably the carpet makes for a quieter ride, that's it.

Love my all weather flooring. Don't see any differance between my son's DC with carpet, and mine without carpet.

    +1

Much easier to clean, and it it doesn't hold the dust/dirt like carpet.

The sound level difference is not noticeable.

I like the idea, is it an option on any model Tacoma or does it just come with the base non-SR5?
