Damn BC mountain is a bitch I almost lost a light. Bounced Soo much the nut almost backed off. I got lucky and saw it in time. Pulled bolt and replaced with zip ties and duct tape since I didn't have the right socket. Prob be a few months before I remember to put that bolt back lol

i watched fred use one on all his wheels and on way home he almost lost them all

Rather have lubed studs than rusty seized ones.

I never ever used a impact on my shit. That's what torque wrenches ate for and why I always got one in me toolbox.

He keeps loosing/blowing them and not for long. Me engine was only $1250.00 lol

I think its from that stupid hill that me and anthony kept trying to get up friday night. Ant told me the next morning that my spare tire kept hitting the ground and we tried for atleast half an hour. I think that definitely broke the lug nuts loose and then after rattling around all day/night saturday they worked their way loose.

And yes I use antisieze on my lug nuts. Never had one loosen up (besides this spare tire incident). I stop to help people everytime I see somone on the side of the road with a flat tire.. at least 50% of the time I cant get their lug nuts off because the shit is so corroded on, or if I can get the lug nuts off, the wheel is rusted to the brake drum. Scott and I live in salt air.. way worse than just getting road salt on the truck in the winter.

Last thing I'm gonna say on it, but other people's cars are not a good case for using anti seize. You have no idea what their maintenance upkeep is like, especially in Jersey where you don't have annual inspections (where they would be taking your wheel off). A properly maintained vehicle's wheels should be coming off at least twice a year. IMO using anti seize is a solution for a problem that doesn't exist, if you're of the mindset to use it, you're a person that does regular maintenance on your vehicle and thus have your wheels off multiple times a year. If its a concern, clean the lugs with a light wire brushing to keep them like new. Anti seize risks over stretching your studs beyond their intended design.

If they aren't taking off your wheels they aren't doing a proper inspection. How are they checking your brake pads/shoes/linings?

And your POS is just doomed regardless. You could store it in a vat of oil and it would still rust apart.

Sorry I live in a state that actually cares if your vehicle is fit to be on the road.
