Yea that's for sure! Definitely not a mud terrain/all terrain hybrid. Its on the low end of the all terrains in terms of off roading

did a retrofit but had problems with my apollo shrouds about a week ago. installed without shrouds.



got my mini gatling gun shrouds in, installed yesterday and also did the bhlm.

I think all of the Goodyear all terrains have shit sidewalls. My silent armors were two ply sidewalls, and really soft...they always scared me.

I love my km2's...they have done great everywhere....and are even better on the street than my silent armors. Drove in the heavy rain for the first time the other day in the km2s and they did great. No loss of traction or hydro planing. My silent armors would slip and slide and hydroplane in the slightest rain.

 

First off I haven't been on the site in months and it's great being back. I started this project earlier with an extra grill in an attempt save some cash, as of now I'm only $15 down. I have a 20" led bar on it's way and my original plan to mount it on the hood fell through because I'd rather avoid that route and mount behind the grill in some fashion. I bought plastic landscaping mesh and cut the inner grill out with a jigsaw and pliers. Tommorow I plan to even up the jagged edges with a drimmel, do some sanding, and coat black gloss to replicate to my current grill. I'm sure this has been done before by someone so any pictures or tips on how to hold the wire down I was thinking line the inside with small screws and 1" washers before paint, I'm also contemplating fab of the inside mount so I'm open to all suggestions. So far so good

 

What's a retrofit

 

No troll? A retrofit can be a general term to describe aftermarket parts. Basically means you're "fitting" a part to the vehicle after it has left the factory.

 

Got these at cost from work 5 bux each.

 

For wheeling you took a step down. For hauling, you took a major step up. The Duramax is a killer truck if you need a tow rig. I'd just hate wheeling in one. Sounds like you made a good choice for your needs.

 

Not mad at all. I just think Duratracs are lousy tires.

Tested out the skinnies some more yesterday. So far I really like them.

 

I like the rear bumper man, thinking about making something similar.
