Billys=screwed up brakes

Whats up boys. I recently installed 2inch toytech aal and 5100 billys set @ 2.5. I then took my truck for a test drive and as i came to a stop my brake pedal started pump. I've tested this for a couple days now with no change. Before I put the lift on I had no issue with the brakes. When installing the front billys I didn't touch the brake assembly. Any ideas?

 

When you did the rear AAL, did you have to remove the brake lines?

 

did you pinch a line, or break one...I know on the second gens when you put the 5100's up front you need to be very careful not to break a line

 

I installed the AAL two days before the billys without any issues with the brakes. I only removed the E brake cable, didn't touch the brake line.

 

I don't think so. Probably a newbie question but how would I tell if a line was pinched?

 

it would have leaked....more than likely. Check your brake fluid level. Also is there a chance a line got air in it from the e brake removal

 

Do you mean your brakes started pumping? As in rapid shuddering? I've had experience with similar behavior if you get debris in the ABS sensor on the front wheels it confuses the magnetic pick up and the ABS will actuate. If this describes what you're experiencing, you may want to disconnect the ABS leads and clean them.

your ebrake wouldnt get air in the line when you disconnected it because its an open cable with no fuild. I would say its a dirty abs sensor too
