Are you guys allotted x per year and any additional days they tack onto the end of the school year? I went to school in upstate NY, and any additional snow days past the 4 (or whatever it was) they took off of our 2 week spring break.

My district doesn't have baked in days for snow. Consequently, it pretty much has to be a blizzard for me to miss work. I don't live in the same district I work in, so that's fun when the home district is closed and the work district is in full swing.

That's a good point, never thought of that. Pardon my ignorance, I have been in Florida for 8 years now, how does the corporate world treat some pretty bad weather there? Do people work from home, expected to come in on Saturday? I know it varies based on your profession, but if you had to generalize.

I would say for the most part, the snow isn't really a big deal like some would think. There's over 100 dedicated snow plows that roam all over the metro area every time there's a big storm. That doesn't include all the private companies that plow some neighborhoods and shopping/business areas. I've only had my employer close the office 3 times in 5 years. However, anytime there's 6" of snow or more, we have a free pass to stay home and use vacation time without need of prior approval. Just have to send text the manager and let her know.

Denver has on average over 300 sunny days a year, but if somone asks me about the weather, I tell em it snows constantly year round and they actually believe it sometimes.

I only work 2 days a week. 1 48hr shift and I'm off the rest. That's how to do it.

K here is the plan. I pick the runner up tomorrow have to do the normal shit. Register, emmisions, plates. Then tires, wheels spacers, lift and get that supercharger under way. Then call it good before my wife beats me. Anyone who knows her know I'm serious... She will beat me.

Better contact a mod then to get an explanation of you weren't given one (hard to believe) or your destined to repeat it and mods generally aren't as lenient the 2nd time around.

Well, sounds like you did nothing wrong and they just had it in for you for some reason. I would definitely challenge them and try to prove you're right. If they won't comply then you need to throw a fit until they give in and admit they screwed you over and you did nothing wrong. That's how I'd go about handling it anyway. Best of luck.

I dont want to challenge the moderators, I will get nothing in return and honestly if they believe i had an attitude then thats fine, But i have went about contacting the moderators and asked for an explaination. Only thing i can think of is the funny picture thread... But i didnt really have an attitude it was more of a sarcastic funny.

I dont know its not a big deal to me. I missed the site but its just a forum, Not really a huge loss for a week.
