    We started out at the San Francisco side in the Presidio,down to sea level at Fort Point, then north across the GG Bridge to the Marin Headlands, then up a windy road a thousand feet. The old military gunneries are all along that mountain in the Headlands-shades of the Cold War days.

    Yeah life gets busy and you miss the good stuff! Have you been to the Marin Headlands? If mot you HAVE to go see that once-I guarantee you it is some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world.

    Thanks man:) I just caught that and edited in the locations in each photo:)it is one of dozens of cannon battery installations along the GG entry from the cold war days.

    I am so lucky to be just minutes from all this kind of stuff-I hear ya. You always hear the bad side of this area but then there's the side of this town that I appreciate that is strapped with so much awsome beauty:) You make damm sure you get out there where you're at and take in the good stuff! Your area has its share of cool discovery too.

    Oh that it does. It has its own thing. Desert and ocean can be amazing.. but we dont have the green/brown rolling hills and such that the bay is known for. I'll hopefully end up back there again soon. My whole family is still there - so i still claim the bay!
