Thats why my audi ois gonna be fun, damn thing handles great and has great power. Cant wait to find a good road to take it on.

 

my parents bought my little brother a $6000 02 single cab 4x4 ranger.

I think its a fucking stupid idea. My dad already has an 07 4 dr 5.4l f 150 (so no need for a truck to tow or haul with or go skiing). He things the ranger will be SO much more practical to drive to work in, and my brother does not ski, or ride motorcycles, or do ANYTHING needing 4wd. And on top of that single cabs are the most useless things ever if you need to bring more than yourself anywhere.

 

Damn! My parent's wouldn't even buy me a $450 car. I've had to pay for all my vehicles. haha

 

guess who paid for mine? And guess who sold that to pay for the other one?

haha, same here. I've bought all three of my vehicles. and I own all of them outright.

 

My Tacoma is my 5th vehicle The only one of them I didn't buy was my very first one and that is because it wasn't even worth $100 and my parents were letting it rot in the backyard so I bought a new battery for it and got it running and it became my car. Once that one died, I bought the rest of them myself.

 

Doing that in my 4Runner to meet up with MTgirl this summer...I think. Depends which route I've taken.

MTgirl, this last time I was on the Beartooth highway, I only went to the bottom and back, I didn't feel I had time to make it all the way to the 212, I wasn't sure how far it was and I was on my own in the evening. I definitely wanna see it though! Nice pictures!

This is kinda what the arb guy said. He did not believe the compressors were the issue. He felt the electrical system (the connection) was restricted causing higher amp draw and that was what caused the fuses to blow.

I did check the connections. They were sold but there is no doudt that it needs some sorting out as I have way too many things powered directly from the battery right now.

btw: the battery is reading 12.62 this evening, down from 12.66 yesterday. Its been 48 hours since it was last started.

Ben, I second this ^^^ beartooth highway is awesome.

Only a section of it IIRC. We will not go through the whole eastern end of it.







Lisa, have you ever explored the lake and road in these VVV three pics. The only thing I'm certain of, is we are looking towards the north, from the beartooth highway. I want to say its at or near the pass, before the highway begins to descend towards 212.

 

No we will be driving the whole thing mike..if you look at the map the chief Joseph ts into the bear tooth. That T is east of Cooke city which is where we will be coming from.

 

We willbe joining the highway where Morrison ends, correct? And head west to cooke city, right? Well I was referring all that is east of where morrison joins. Between Red Lodge and where morrison joins the highway is the section we will miss.
