I need to pick up some LR UCA's, have a little float at highway speed with wind. When its calm, it isnt too bad

 

If you need them and don't want to wait for a set of used ones to pop up, that's a good price! Not far off what they sold for during group buy times.

 

I am really just trying to prepare myself from what it is going to cost to do it the right way if they can't get my caster out of the negative.

 

How much are you lifted?

 

I seriously think your alignment tech just screwed up... There's no way your caster is negative, it's just not possible. Even with a bad alignment, it would still be about +1.

about 2.5 up front. 885x's on a DCLB. Caster was in the 1's, Id like to get it closer to 3

I am sure hoping. I mean when they started my caster was -1.9 on driver side and -1.7 on the passenger side. Best they could do was -.9 and -.8 and the wander on the highway is def worst. I am prying it is just them botching the numbers.

 

I got my LR UCAs for 355 shipped to my door through the headstrong offroad group buy. Their normal price is 375 with free shipping

 

Had my alignment done at Roger's Tire on Cass Ave in Woonsocket. No issues for me.

 

Lifted that high, you should still be able to get 'within spec' using the stock UCAs. I can imagine the highway ride does suck but I still doubt the caster is negative, I think they botched it.

 

A good amount of us have sliders, most of the guys used the bed coat in a can stuff. There is a certain kind that you should use but im not sure which one. I sprayed mine with rustoleum high performance enamel. I am getting some chips in a few spots from my tires kicking up rocks. Gatta touch them up, added to my to do list haha.

 

Ya thats fucked haha, they must have screwed something up. I installed 885s, no top plate spacer at the same time i installed my LR UCAs. When i brought it in for a alignment i was already in the high 2s for caster before they even touched anything.

 

Well at least I feel better... it is very likely not my truck.

 

So that probably means i lost somewhere between 1 and 2 degrees of caster when i lifted my truck about 2.5". The UCAs added 2 degrees, i think in spec according to toyota is 1 something degrees thru 2.5 degrees or something.
