So for a while now, its completely random. Driving down the freeway etc my truck loses all throttle response, the engine doesnt die, but it just doesnt do anything. I have to pull over and turn the truck off and re start. It happens seldomly but is very frustrating when it happens. It will happen 4-6 times then be fine for 5 months. Never throws a code or anything. I thought it was the URD MAF calibrator i had, but it has happened since removing it. ANy input would be greatly appreciated.

    Intake is clean
    I have cleaned the MAF

    Engine Mods
    Afe stage3 si Intake
    DTLT Headers
    Stock Muffler
    Just changed spark plugs

    I'm thinking Fuel Filter/Pump?
    02 sensors?
    Vaccum lines?

    11-5-2013
Update, engine is now Stock and still happening. Have a P0430 and also an 02 sensor code, truck is going to dealer Friday for a full Diagnostics test.

I'd call URD Tech Support. Gadget will be able to be able help you.

No codes pop up from this? Lights? Nothing?

Did you have the recall performed at the dealership.. the one that reflashes the PCM and recalibrates the throttle ?

Well there goes my theory. haha. The only other thing I can think of now is a faulty ECU or a loose wire some where.

Since its electronic throttle I would look for loose connections that are part of the system. Maybe a reflash could help too.

I haven't installed one so I don't know what all signals they affect.
    That sounds sketchy...

I wonder if one of your throttle position sensors might be going bad. I imagine that is unlikely but there are two of them and if they don't match it sends no signal to the throttle body.

    The floor mat recall.
More than 25% throttle, tap the brakes, and the engine dumps to idle.

If your brake light switch is chattering, it'll randomly kill power.

So the reflash makes that not happen?

i don't think so, if you've had the pedal chop done the ECU will cut power when it senses a certian % of throttle while the brakes are pressed.
