Nah behind the driver rear seat....all done and it sounds great!!! Need to get through break in on the sub but so far it hits good

 

How long have you been in? Im about ready to reup again next month for the last time!!

 

For any audiophiles in here...my new sub has dual 1 ohm voice coils...wiring them in series will give me .5 ohm and parallel 2 ohm...my amp is 1 ohm stable. .would I be better going with the 2 ohm?

 

check ur ohms. cuz that aint right.

when u do series with resisters, the resistance is added. when in paralell, they are havled (when there are only 2 other wise its 1/r1+1/r2+1/r3+etc=1/rt)

and yes, i would go w/ a 2 ohm load and not anything under 1 since ur amp isnt stable under one

 

I had it backwards...parallel is .5 series is 2..my bad....ill put it at 2

 

What's up guys, just recently put the Toytec ULK with LR UCA's on my taco, I've been looking for some good places to off-road around the area. Anybody know of any?

 

What he said.... I'm just a little bit of an audiophile, and a Sonar system engineer by trade... Generally though, if you're not going into competition and you're amp is .5 ohm stable, I wouldn't load it down more than 1 ohm... you're going to get a lot of heat attenuation, and that means short life. Amps just aren't built like the old Orion HCCA's anymore. I remember when those things were nearly 1/4 ohm stable and you could run 4 12's off a 100watt amp and they would hit, no exaggeration. Not into it like I used to be, but from what I gather newer amps like subs that are pretty closely paired in power handling..... I spend more money on my home system these days.

Dang, I have a 2 gallon rotopax with stock mount i need to get rid of.

 

Anyone looking for mud flaps (both pass. And rear driver), 2nd gen bed tie downs, or stock chrome grill. Hopefully by the time I'm down that way ill have stock offroad suspension and a colormatched BSP rear bumper to get rid of as well.
