    The day i bought it

Had the classic Po420 code show up on me, so i bought a URD O2 simulator and deleted the rear cat. i left the muffler and with the K&N its got a nice sound to it now.

heres the simulator under the pass seat AE115623-BBF4-4CCE-9227-394C588D75FD-859_de603753c0af223d87b02a4b345a0a2883beb6e9.jpg

And my most recent addition was my window tint. I went 20% on the front doors, left the back doors factory, 5% on rear sliding glass, and after lots of research decided to run 40% on the windshield

I know theres alot of people here saying windshield tint is 'stupid', impossible to see at night, etc... but i can honestly say ive never been happier with it tinted. at night there is no difference (granted i run HIDs) and it does an excellent job of cutting down glare. The pics make it seem a little darker than it is in person.

So thats where im at, and i will keep updating this thread as my truck progresses along. Feel free to shoot opinions/comments/suggestions

Besides the comments of windshield tint being "stupid" etc. It is also ILLEGAL. and in most states so is the 20% on your side windows.

    Just sayin.

Good luck with the build. Keep us updated.

yea i understand its not legal, and i had it installed knowing so. Ive always had tinted windows and cops in my area don't usually crack down on it. my last car had 15% all the way around and i was pulled for speeding and he never said anything about my tint, only asked to roll the rear window down to see the passengers.

btw i like your truck. kinda the look im going for but without the extra add-ons

just a minor update on the truck. i got around to installing the rear view camera from my previous truck. I pondered for a while where to install everything because i wanted them out of the way. rigged the screen mount underneath the ash tray and tied the wireless module to the bedliner under the rail so it wouldnt get damaged.

It's made by Peak which is the same brand autozone sells. It was a gift but I'm pretty sure it's the same model. It works great and makes hooking up trailers 10x easier. Only thing is when it rains, water gets on the lens and makes it a little more difficult to see

decided to pop on a rigid industries light bar last night. ive always wanted one and since my tacoma doesnt have fog lights i figured this would be a perfect chance to get one. I'm excited to see how it turns out and will post pics once installed, should be here in a few days. i thought about mounting it on the grille guard but i think ill install it in the lower opening in the bumper.

oh its a 10" e series flood beam

Gotcha. Thanks for that little "review". I was looking at getting one because it's hard to see what's behind me when I'm backing up with my tinted camper glass and new swing out tire in the way.

so i installed my RI lightbar a couple days ago just now getting around to updating the thread. This thing is BRIGHT!! i installed it on the brush guard since i couldnt find a good/secure way behind the lower bumper. its worth every dollar, especially down dark back roads.

well i jus pulled the trigger on my lift kit. going with bilstein 5100 F&R, ome 882 coils, and dakars in the rear. also going to upgrade to 285s. just deciding about wheels right now. im definetly getting black ones but what would you guys think about the FJ trail wheels in black? i think theyll probly look pretty good but just indecisive at the moment

Jealous of the lift! I'm getting mine this summer when I have some more cash flow. The FJ TT rims would look sick IMO, those rims are just all around awesome

put the order in for my tires this morning. Went with Duratracs 285/75/16. Considered going with fierce attitudes but were on backorder at the shop i work at, plus the duratracs have a good rebate goin right now. So my lift will be here tomorrow, wheels on wednesday, and tires by thursday. Looking to install everything thursday if all goes well. needless to say im pretty stoked to get the truck looking prime

And last night i finally got my lift installed after about a full days work. The ride is WAY better than before. i was so excited to put it on i forgot to get before/after measurements but i definitely got 3" lift if not a little more. its got a little forward rake now but the leafs should settle and level itself out nice. anyway i took tons of pics
