The cheapest I found them were at SAMs club. I got mine for 220 a piece. Cheapest deal in anchorage. Even cheaper than wing foot Goodyear with a discount through my work. I just like to double check my lug nuts after using SAMs... I was a tire tech for them for three whole days before I quit due to poor business practice

That's no more expensive than down here. Heck, might even be a little cheaper. I tried to get discount tire to match the $219 each they cost on tire rack but they wouldn't. I figured they'd be more up there. Hmmmm, maybe I'll wait and put the 4,200 miles of drive on my current tires.

How much do they charge to install.....total bill?

Also forgot to add, i'm looking at the load E tires, not the C. That's a $30-ish difference per tire.

Sams can get duratracs in 285/75/16 for 222 a tire. I think i saw 212 per tire for 265. Very good prices if you ask me. Can't remember what install costs though. Probably 30 or 40 bucks.

Sooo I am looking for a compact or subcompact handgun... anyone have any suggestions or know someone selling one?

I am not decided on a caliber or brand yet. The biggest factor is the size. The smaller the better since I would be using it for a concealed carry and girl clothes don't really have a lot of extra room... I'm not really worried about too recoil much... my other handgun is a 44 mag that I shoot with buffalo bore... :)

I have a XDm Compact that I've been thinking about selling, but sounds like you might want something even smaller.

Maybe something like an Ruger LC9 or LC380. The XDm would be ok if you purse carried or wear jackets or hoodies alot. It conceals just fine for me under a loose fitting shirt

I know my dad was talking about selling something, and the LC9 rings a bell. I'll check with him.

They're nice little guns. And it really doesn't take much to conceal.

I would buy something you love to shoot and will practice with often. I carry a 1911 normally and I know they make them in small frame. They are also very slim by nature. Much more so than most polymers. Other options would be .380s and 9mms of course if you are comfortable with those rounds.

For a 9mm I would go with a Browning hi-power. Would not recommend a Beretta due to quality and the easy of setting the slide safety when drawing.

One thing on size, it may be easy to carry, but I don't know many people confidant handling a subcompact pistol. And when you have to fire your carry weapon, I expect you want that confidence.

Yep, the most important thing (I'm sure you already know) is to get something that fits you.

I'd also recommend putting night sights on it. You may not need them, but that one time can make all the difference.

Alaska list, and 907 big boy toys are websites with local listings I would keep an eye on.
