They are too big for my use. This thread is about suggestions for the 2015 taco, again, I would just like to see better payload capacity and I'm sure I'm not the only one. The weak suspension seems to be the most common complaint of this truck. Otherwise, this truck is near perfect as far as I'm concerned.

As for buying a 1/2 ton, I've tried most in my line of work (Exploration Geologist) and the best truck I've used was the Hilux followed by the Taco, the others had dependibility issues and their larger size has been problematic.

I'd like to see the 4Runners' triptronic transmission but with an added 6th gear and its engine.

And it's KDSS system which is awesome btw.

A more rigid chassis, more power via V8 or V6 Supercharged direct injected engine or even a small block V6 turbo diesel, 6 or 7 speed auto transmission with towing mode, a more heavy duty differential that will help with payload and towing, rear disc brakes and finally but not least maybe the most important improvement to the Tacoma line please please a bigger fuel tank!

    Why only 30?

    I think it's technically possible.

I have thought for a long time that fuel efficiency is one of the things that mysteriously doesn't get better like so many other things.

    100 MPG, maybe more!

If you want a bigger truck, go to a Tundra. I didn't think that Tacoma had to balloon up so much. I still like it, but I liked how it was a petite truck before. Now, it's not so petite. Nice shape though.

I would like the car to have an auto pilot function.

I would also like it to beep or honk when I drive by women and they are attracted to me.

I would also like the car to have a levitation function so I can just fly in the air when there's a traffic jam. I would like this feature exclusively.

I would also like it to cuddle with me in bed at night, but that's asking too much.

I will settle for these few improvements even if they make no other changes. :)

Only thing I'd trade up for would be a diesel engine.

Slightly smaller would be ok with me also.

Thanks everyone for the help. Here is the article I wrote based on everyone's feedback and our analysis of the truck market, http://www.tacomahq.com/2661/2015-toyota-tacoma-expect/

And no, it doesn't include any special horns signaling opposite sex attraction. Sorry, we just don't see it as a big priority for Toyota. :)
