    Hey guys,

Just want to get some guidance from you guys im currently in North Carolina right now and im moving to San Bernardino, California and Im not very familiar in California laws regarding :

TRD Cat back exhaust is it legal to run this?
TRD CAI will it pass any inspections or is it legal to have it?
Or is ther any kind of state inspections that my truck would not pass if I have these things in my truck in order for me to register it in California?

And I heard something about if you have a Camper in the bed you'll be paying less tax or something? Im not sure what it is but its something about the Camper?

Just wanted to know if I have to keep my stocks or what not...

    I would appreciate it... Thanks!!!

    What Mods!
You dont get inspected coming in to cali your trd add ons are no problems i heard about the camper thing also but until someone chimes in i dont know you should also be fine on the registration part maybe the smog deal would get you, but you wont have to worry about that.

    The exhaust should be fine.

As for the CAI, does it have a CARB (California Air Resources Board) sticker? If so, then it would pass smog, if not, I'm not too sure about that.

No clue about the camper thing, never heard of that statute.

    Too few to list.
I hope you have your stock intake because that TRD intake will not pass visual inspection.

As for the camper, if it is permanentely attached to the bed your truck would be considered personal vehicle and not a commercial one so registration would be a little cheaper but not much. The DMV fees here have sky rocketed. My fees this year for a year old car is higher than it was last year!

If it's a truck, expect it to be around $400 plus!

the camper will save you about $8.00 a year makeing it a personal vehicle instead of commercial, if you have to have it smogged comming in to cali ditch the cai until you get the smog done then you can put it back, i have one and no issues. We don't have state inspections like some other states. If the vehicle is new you don't have to smog for 5 years, for your situation i am not sure, contact the cali dmv, and when you go to register your truck make an appointment.

The one thing that you need to know is that if the engine trouble light comes on, even if there's nothing wrong with the truck, they will not pass it. Secondly, if the light is on they will require you to have it fixed professionally. I skirted the issue by fixing it myself and going to a different smog station.

and...If you're from NC ( I'm originally from TN myself) then be prepared for the fact that the area you're going to is hot as hell. That and say bye bye to anything green except for maybe 2 months out of the year.
