Been playin' it for 4 or 5 years now, but still workin'

 

I got the 4xinnovations motor mounts put in today. I started on the driver side which was a minor PITA with the header right above it and a coolant hose below it.

It is a good damn thing I bought these new mounts. I had no idea the driver side mount was broken.


Looking up from the bottom, I had to bend those 2 tabs down on each mount as shown


Driver side done, old passenger side mount taken out


Of course the AC compressor had to be in the way on the passenger side


I don't use it anyway and there is no belt on it so 4 bolts and out it came

 

Today I flushed the radiator and put in some fresh Prestone coolant, Mobil 1 5w30 in the motor, and Lucas oil in the tranny, transfer cases, and differentials. Just gotta do a couple more small things one night this week. I am so excited to drive it again

 

I spent a few hours on the last couple nights trying to get my triple sticks adjusted and working properly/not hitting the tranny shifter. I almost ripped them out and smashed them with a sledge hammer. I got it close enough for now. I don't have a lot of time left to get it ready so I am going to temporarily close off the tunnel with a piece of rubber, a cheap shower mat or something, until I have more time to work on something permanent.

 

Might wanna make sure those drawstrings don't get caught on stuff

 

I am going to make a decent cover eventually. But this will do for now, to get me through this weekend's journey.

This 4x4 is going green! Finding ways to recycle things from around the house!

 

Yup! They have been hanging on a cabinet for a while waiting to be used for somethin'.

The rear case keeps popping into neutral. I am not at all happy with the triple shifters.

I am really starting to hate them. The linkage feels sloppy and it is hard to shift them where I want them. And it is not fun having it pop into neutral while going down the street.

 

Not saying you didn't, but you did fill em up right?
