I swear everybody has seen a king snake before and all I run into are rattle snakes. You would think with as much bush whacking as I do to fish every pond and lake I can find, I would see at least one of those bastards.

What'd we say the tire gate w/tire weighs ? Whatever it is .. It's a lot of weight hanging off the rear of truck, but we got ya covered....

 

just got one about 3 hours ago. 3 foot. layin across the driveway. time for the dogs to get their shots asap.

 

Oh hell yeah !! We saw 2 snakes today actually both kings tho'...

 

Id look into rattlesnake avoidance training. I have seen first hand the effects of a rattlesnake bite on a dog that had it's shots. Afterwards this young, active chocolate lab swelled up to 180 lbs, couldn't stand for more than half an hour, and had several seizures every week for next 3 years... Its not something I would wish on anyone.

You missed out on the one last year behind the shop. Bout 6ft, 17 rattles. I kill a couple every year at the shop but that one was big enuf to eat. I fried it up with Cajun shake and a little franks red hot, we ate it at the morning break.

joint pain is awful, if this is what it feels like to be old i don't wanna live that long.
that exhaust was a pain to pull, but the 5.7 sounds good with just the y pipe.

doug! Point me in the right direction of forest service trails and truck trials out in east county or anywhere you know of. I hiked out to three sisters falls about 2 weeks back and saw a Forest Service trail right next to the hikes trail head. I want to start exploring more local stuff.

looks like a decent place to take a quad

 

its an open route, has the forest service trail marker okaying quads bikes and 4x4's to pass through. I love exploring!

 

el cap. truck trail looks legit, can stop off at cedar creek to take a swim!
