looking at pro comp and fabtech 6" suspension lift, any real difference between the two? and does the performance series really make enough difference to fork out the extra cash, rather than to just buy the basic series? thanks

if your just going for looks either one is fine. stage 2 has a better ride. but if its for offloading id go with long travel or a badass icon or king mid travel.

The 6 inch lifts are known as drop bracket lifts, as they lower the front CV to achieve greater lift. Drop bracket lifts don't do much for off road performance, other than make it easy to get big tires underneath the truck. The performance series will have better ride because they use an aftermarket spring/shock assembly, where the basic is just a huge ass spacer. If you are dead set on a drop bracket lift, the performance will perform better, but I would recommend you just do a 3 inch lift with coilovers, or ome/bilstein lifts. If you have alot of green to spend, long travel is the king of the lifts.

The spindles on the Fabtech lift are a lot "beefier" than the procomp.

Anywhere from 1,800-2,000 dollars and then installation if you dont plan on doing this install yourself. Search RCD lift in the 2nd GEN forum and the second to last page there is a picture of a tacoma with a 6inch lift and a tacoma with a RCD side by side and you can barely tell the differnce.

    9" of Super Bro lift
RCD makes a 6" lift too. And yes, the Fabtech spindles are slightly thicker than the Pro Comp....is it worth the extra $$? It wasn't to me.
