What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Bar looks great. You happy with it so far? How was okledlightbars to deal with?

 

I'm very happy with it. Let's just say I am utterly impressed with their customer service. Had a small issue due to my negligence and they bent over backwards to help me!

I will be buying more lights and definitely will be buying from them. I highly recommend them, can't say enough good things about them

I just spray some WD-40 on mine each spring, and good to go. Also, I only did the one in middle. Just a little deterrent, more than anything. I only keep bungie cords and my tie downs in there.

Anyone have suggestions on where I should put the license plate? I like the idea of putting it off to the side on one of the wings, or down low.

Are you required to have one in your state? If so like Sandman said under the first opening if it fits.
Here you are only required to have one if there is a mounting place for it so it's optional with custom bumpers.

That's why I put ONE lock in the center of each door, and left the OEM latches alone. That way I can unlock them once, and open & close without keys. Then I just lock them up again at the end of the day.

A little sewing machine oil or silicone spray will prevent corrosion/sticking.

 

Using it on the sewing machine he used to sew up the cut from where his balls were removed.

 

OK geniuses; sewing machine oil is an excellent light oil for small bushings, bearings and geartrains. It is also readily available.

I also have #10 and #11 gear oil, which are slightly different viscosities. Neither of these is NEARLY as easily found in small quantities. I still have plenty from the one ounce bottles I got decades ago. A tiny bit is all that's needed.

Thanks! I'm pleased with how it came out! And I went and safety wired the plate just below the lowest opening. I think I might go drill the holes tonight, and Massachusetts requires a front license plate if the car had one originally, which my truck did.

I take it by sunny day is kinda a sports car?either way, i have read that a lot of states that have front plates, will exempt some cars. like corvettes and others like them from having to have a front plate.

my cousin lives in NY and i don’t think he has a front plate on his vett.

Payed her off! Also ordered a Wheeler's HD Progressive AAL pack to go with the 885x/5100 combo in my garage.

 

Unfortunately, I think NY doesn't care. If it had a plate or not, put one on. If you have guns, we will take them away, same difference in this state.

 

I realize that some peeps' entire toolbox consists of a hammer (with a split handle), a rusty, beat up flat-head screwdriver (i.e. unusable for driving screws), a roll of gummy duct tape, and a half-empty can of WD40.

So I know I should allow for them. Thanks though
