yup, that's the new ride. no plans for it really. wheels/tires, 5100's...

next real project truck will be a LT 4x4 4runner or 2nd gen. planning to get going on that in a year or so

 

At least you stayed 1st gen but is this one a 4x4?

 

Quick question. While I was doing my AAL to the rear, I managed to good up the threads to the point that the factory U bolt are no longer usable. I found out that the closest replacements are a tad shy of being the same width/diameter. Bottom line, Any ill effects from after market U bolts?

 

I've got aftermarket on mine and have no problems at all. U-bolts are just u-bolts really. As long as they're high quality material you'll be fine.

Brother I tell you it has been a day. I don't need them but I appreciate the sales pitch. I'm only doing a single AAL from wheelers on the rear. Had to cut about 2 inches off either end to get them to fit. I still messed up the passenger side so I have to go find a replacement sometime. If the factory hadn't been such a bear I could have reused them, but the other side tomorrow is getting the cutting wheel to them.

 

I'm stupid for not reading your post correctly...

I still have my stock u-bolts too haha I don't know how they came off without having to be cut after being in the North for 10 years!

 

Well, I missed the fact that the wrench was set on tightening when I allowed my buddy to take a turn while I took a break. He over snugged them and it stripped the whole shaft going down. So I understand missing things today. I had to place a new on on that side but I got scared because it was 1/4 inch difference between the aftermarket and the stocks.

he sends them out in batches, it can take up to a few months.

 

negative. it's a 2WD 4 banger. nothing special at all... hence why it'll stay a dedicated daily driver

 

There is a drain hole in the BudBuilts but it is very small so it wont catch on things.
