Thinking about stepping up to P285/70/17 Toyo AT IIs. Right now I have P265/70/17 Toyo ATs. Is anybody running this size tire in a "P" range? They only weigh 7 more pounds so do you think it will affect my MPG that much? I drive about 100 miles a day for work. I already have OME 885s up front. Any thoughts on this? Thanks....

With only 7lbs difference you should be ok. If you get these check out treaddepot.com as they seen to have some of the cheapest prices on these.

Did you get these tires? Id like to know how they are. I have been doing my homework and am stepping away from MTs into ATs now. I had Toyo OCs on my rig when I bought it and didn't care for the tire. I have Nitto Grapplers now that are chunking horribly. I hear the Toyo AT II is a whole new animal. It has an awesome warranty of 65,000 miles and a huge amount of tread. What is your experience with them?
    Thanks

I've got the Toyo AT II's in 285/70/17. I've only had them for 2 weeks but so far so good, they look good & ride pretty smooth. They have a slight hum but nothing like a MT. As far as mpg's I haven't noticed any difference, last week I used the same amount of gas for the week as I did with the stock 265's.

Yes and no. I got the tires but stayed with 265/70/17s. So far have about 7500 miles on them and they ride great. No problems, balance well just a little hum. I wanted the 285s but with driving 100+ miles a day I stayed with the 265s. The set I took off I got almost 65000 and never had a problem with them either.

Thanks, im going with a 285x75r17, been running a 295x70r17 for 2 years on my rig. Im doing a full overhaul on my pro comp 6" lift. In fact there will only be a pro comp crossmember when im completed so I have the room for the tires. I haven't read anything bad and with that warranty I can get toyo to replace them if they start chunking bad. Temp and terrain here in Phoenix is hard on tires both on & off road.

Thanks for the advice! I looked at the prices there and you aren't kidding about cheap!!!!

I'm going to use the guys at SDHQ for all of my upcoming upgrades. They are a Toyo dealer, I will see if I can get those prices matched as I will be spending about 5G.

I had AT and got 50,000 with more to go but winter was coming. Put on AT11 and the ride is much better and they are also quieter. $180.00 mounted and balanced for 265/70/17.

I have the LT285/70/17 and I've been trying to figure out a great tire pressure to run them at. Right now I have them at 50psi I believe.

Heres the at2 in LT285/70/17. I don't think they make the xtremes in that size. These are LT tires not the P rated. I believe the p rated are less aggressive looking.
But these LTs are pretty aggressive in person.
