My 2003 Tacoma 2.4 liter base truck has been sitting six months due to a wreck.

I would like to start it, but think it would be a good idea to crank the engine without fuel delivery so that the oil pressure will build up. I figure this would help minimize damage due to a dry start... does that make sense?

If so, can someone tell me where the fuel pump relay or fuse is located so I can temporarily pull it?

I have a 98 3.4 but the relay is behind the lower dash panel next to/near the steering column.

I've seen them where they are adjacent to the interior fuse panel (behind the lower dash) as well.

Mine is stamped "circuit opening relay" on it.

It's literally two screws and two or three bolts to remove that panel and look it at it.

    1 minute tops.

Well my 2002 base model extended cab 2 wheel drive 2.4 5 speed Tacoma, I took those couple of screws off and looked at fuse panel. And there is nothing behind the fuse panel for a fuel pump relay I need to pump the five gallon can of diesel that got dumped into my Tacoma out and I have no freaking idea how to activate the fuel pump it should be so easy and I'm out here wondering how in the hell to do it and I don't think if I can find this stupid relay.

Under the hood I got nothing too. Need help.

    Reserected from the dead.
You really are going to a lot of trouble for minimum peace of mind. The truck can sit for years and have no damage because of oil starvation.

Your truck already cranks to pressurize the oil system before the fuel is turned on and the plugs start firing.

Plus I can't hear the pump run when clicking key fwd. I sold my other Toyota last week and if was still here i could have compared.
