I learned of this power while on my weekends in Mexicali. It is a strong power, yes, but god does it get uncomfortable. :p

Do you know where you guys are camping? We'll be camping at Beal Mtn. between Marl Springs and Cima Rd. in the whoop section.

I'm pretty sure we're staying there or another camp spot both nights.

So is this just a blaze through the desert run or are we actually stopping at the sites like tourist?

I don't have a detailed itinerary yet in regards to sight-seeing spots but here's the basic plan.

Friday: Meet at Barstow Arco gastion as 4pm, leave at 4:30pm. Head to Powerline Rd and take that to Baker. Quick break in Baker and maybe top off gas tanks. From Baker we'll head back into the desert and drive around (not across) the Soda Lake and hop on Mojave Rd. Stop at the mail box and head to camp from there.

Saturday: Since we'll be getting to camp late Friday night we'll sleep in a little longer than normal and do some exploring but I'm but I'm not sure where yet. Late Saturday afternoon we'll head to Buffalo Bills at Stateline and eat dinner. From there we'll head back in the dark and do a night run back to camp.

Sunday: We'll pack up camp, leave around 9am and head back to Barstow on Mojave Rd. We'll stop at a few sight-seeing spots. I'm not a fan of Soda Lake so we may drive around it again or drive across it. If it doesn't rain between now and then we might drive across it and make a quick stop at the rock pile. If we drive across Soda Lake we'll head into Afton Canyon. If we drive around Soda Lake we'll take Powerline Rd. to Barstow. I'd like to be in Barstow by 3pm on Sunday and not get home so late like we always do.

Sounds good I'm gonna see if I can leave Friday with you guys since I want to take the kids to the mail box as well. If not I'll wake up early on Sat and take them before we head off haha.

The Rock pile is great but all the salt from Soda lake sucks damaged my bypass and undercarriage :(.
Since it's a good size group I think we should skip Afton canyon, I still remember a couple of us go stuck and took a while to get out.
