Is this true? Was told by another TW'er that this is happening. If so, then they are going to lose a big money maker!

High failure rate? Is that why they are the #1 ranked A/T tire on TireRack?

Bridgestone cuts as many corners as possible on consumer products, the Walmart of tire manufacturers.

    pass

they only make a good tire if an auto manufacturer demands they
beef up something so they can OEM it. the same tire for the general
public for sure will have cost-cutting measures applied.

I'll stick with 'other than' Bridgestone....
    ---------------------------------------------------------------
cannot wait to get the OEM meats
off my truck and into something else, but I can't just burn up 1000 bucks
and throw out the current tires before tread is worn a bit more...but at
least Michelin runs the BFGoodrich show, not Bridgestone

Are Firestone and Bridgestone one in the same? Thought they were totally different products...Anyway, have had Firestone Destination A/Ts on mine for roughly 25K or so and not one problem and the wearing is great...looks like they will be on the truck for a while. And plan on replacing these with the same.

Bridgestone calls all of Firestones shots, since they own them.
