I have a 2011 Tacoma and got the Revtek add-a-leaf in the back. Only been installed about a year and 9 months. I'm an avid bowhunter and use my truck accordingly but never get into anything crazy. Somehow both leaf springs snapped on my truck. One completely sheared off, the other sheared off, half fell out and the other half was dangling and banging against my rear drum. Revtek told me to kick rocks because it's a 1 year warranty on the springs. Gonna give the Fabtech's a try now. Anyone have info on the Fabtech's, or have this same problem with the Revtek's?

I have heard of leafs snapping but not that fast. Goodluck with the fabtech leaf. My buddy has had one about 3 years now and hasnt complained. I think his truck rides stiff but thats only cuz mine is stock in the back.

I think my Dakars ride really stiff in the rear. I'm thinking about removing a leaf?

I apologize for the inconvenience with the two add-a-leaf's breaking however I just wanted to point out, that in the last 13 years of selling these kits, it is very rare that an add-a-leaf would break, and extremely unlikely that both would fail on the same vehicle. My best guess as to what happened is that the U-Bolts did not get torqued properly at time of install, thus allowing the weight of the axle to be transferred to a single point on the center of each of the add-a-leafs over every bump that was hit, thus causing them to fail at the same time.

Our warranty is the same as any other lift kit manufacturer. Limited lifetime on all non wear parts. For a warranty claim, you need to purchase the replacement part and send the broken part back for evaluation, and a credit is issued if the failure is deemed a manufacturing defect.
