Ohya, Jury Duty yesterday, got out of a 5-9week trial, sooo many Muppets there. Girl ahead of me waiting to go thru the marshals screening turned and asked me if Coins were considered metal? I paused........Said, well they are made out of metal...Sigh....yikes.

i have to do ~8 credits worth of school this semester so i can transfer to out of state with no problems, do they have CAD classes at junior colleges? are they worth it?
A CAD course wouldn't help me to get my degree's but i would like to learn how to run CAD without some of the trial and error.
i also want to take a welding class.
For my associates degree i'll be majoring in marine mechanics.
For my bachelors i'll be majoring in wildlife conservation, law enforcement.

Jake as a Solid works user, I suggest getting Solidworks training over Auto CAD, its becoming and industry standard for Engineering and mechanical fab.

I just looked at solidworks to see what it was, man it looks complicated, i'll see what i can come up with in inventor fusion and sketch up.

but, its worth all the complication! I use it to design Cardiovascular devices as well as tooling and truck parts, it is a very powerful tool for designing.

i just might have to ask for it as a graduation present to "further enhance my career", it does look awesome, but i'm not to good at learning then retaining info.
Is it detailed enough to say, build a dune buggy? that's my main purpose.

i built this spindle mockup with A-arms on skethup (sorry it's sideways), but i couldn't get joints to make it look like it'd articulate , and now i'm building the frame but it doesn't like the whole joining of pipes, ect... so i'm having to tie it together with lines.

I'm looking online at what people ca do with solid works, is it possible to get a job designing stuff on CAD? It looks like fun.

I took autocad at mesa great class. And you get a student version license good for 3yrs. Cant go wrong with that.
