^nice! And my brother has the Browning hi-power in 9mm, it's pretty slim and very well balanced I really like it even though I'm not a fan of that round. My dad also has a small frame .45 1911, and I've only shot a couple mags through it but I really liked it as well, can't remember what brand it is to save my life though.

Getting 30 mpg on the highway
Sweet, thanks for all the great advice and suggestions! (and keep it comin if anyone has anything to add!)

Don't worry, I will thoroughly do my research and look at a of of guns (and the same model multiple times) before I buy one. I probably spent 2 months seriously looking at and reading reviews before I bought my .44 mag... and I love that gun :D I do like to shoot it... minus that whole ammo never being in stock deal. But I found some yesterday so some time at the range is probably due soon :D

    Too many to list now.
I wouldn't get a 1911 for concealed carry, not a .45 at least. You dont need something that big, especially when its too small for a bear anyhow.

Well, to me a .45 recoil is easier to handle than a snappy 9mm. Part a lot of that is steel slide/frame though.

They make 1911s in every handgun caliber under the sun now. If I didn't go with a .45, I'd recommend a .40 or 10mm.

Walther's got some good little pistols too. I went to Great Northern looking for something else at lunch, and found a LC9 and a few small Walthers in 380.

No wheeling for me until I get my suspension in. Also, anybody here ever replace steering rack bushings? I'm picking up polyurethane ones to put in but it looks like a pain in the ass.

hmmm...well, what about a carrier bearing? Gotta do that too haha. I think I can handle most of that. Pulling the bearing is the only thing I'm worried about. Taking the drive shaft off looks easy. If I can't do it, I'll just have a shop do it and probably the rack bushings while they have it as well.

Never done the carrier bearing.. The rack bushings were a PITA but that was because I was in the snow and it was cold..
