I have a 2011 4WD. The 4 bolts having the large Tor-X heads that hold the bed to the frame are rusting. Is this something I should complain to the dealer about? I'd have expected the bolts to be galvanized or stainless. Seems like a rust issue waiting to happen.

I also crawled underneath and was dismayed to see rust on some of the suspension bushings. Not happy....

Bought my 2011 used with 8,500 miles on it and the bed bolts were all rusted. Wire brushed them and sprayed with primer then mat-black enamel - good to go.

I taped around mine and sprayed with bed liner. I used masking tape. Sprayed 2 at time, let dry, and used the tape on the next 2. I have 6 in SB.

U will find rust underneath also.
Spray bolt with penetrating oil underneath and remove.
Clean and tap to remove all rust.
Spray entire bolt with rustoleum flat black.
    Spray with wd40 and replace.
This would be a great time to add tie downs to your bed.
See thread for adding d rings.
I like adding the chysler rings right to the bed bolt.
By the way salt on our roads is ruining all our trucks.
We should get together to have it banned.
