It's funny that in the blinder views of reactionism, people often wont ban what they want or have, but have no issue doing it to anything else.

it's like they say..." i'll ban the P-cooker, I don't have one ..... but leave my car alone"

just go down the list of top killer things and focus on the top ten.

I'm thinking larger scale .. top 10 ways people die, not just homicide, but car accidents, floods, anything.

And a cop. Is one child not enough? How many more does there need to be before we enact some common sense measures?

what is your "common sense" measure for a pressure cooker. Sounds more like you are baiting people.

Well since they are such a possible menace and there negative effects out weigh the positives I say we regulate them in the private markets. Allow restaurants and other chains obtain them and private ownership contingent on per license basis. This is common sense we do not need ready made bombs in every persons home.

We'd regulate ourselves to riot and a police state , things get stolen. We'd need to go onto all regulated pressure containers aka boilers, SCBA tanks, high end filters, even glass bead tanks, and, simple crappy welding to make a tank is readily done. That trumps the regulating.

Good idea. Ban the explosives. Now we just need to ban toilet cleaner, aluminum foil, lawn fertilizer, fireworks. That'll outsmart those bastards.

you guys laugh now, but after this proposed regulation hits the house it will most likely be shot down by them dam dirty lobbyists. The shock from that is going to result in every one running out to go buy all of the pressure cookers and high cap back packs they can, and pretty soon there will be a limit on how many pressure cookers you can buy. Im not sure where else I heard that happening...but im pretty sure it has happened before. This event will have truly negative effects on those that NEED those pressure cookers to make food and support their family.

Not its own task force that would be ridiculous. It could be implemented in forces that we already have set up. Why are people so opposed to this our constitution doesnt protect our right to own IEDs?

DihydrogenMonoxide kills more people, 10s of thousands of people. Its a coolant, sort of a bad lubricant too. Ban it too.

probably because it would make no difference, an IED can be made with pretty much everything, hell you could make a fairly effective one with a regular pot, duct tape, blackpowder, and something for shrapnel...
