That would look sweet! I painted my badges. Use a hairdryer to heat them up, then slide fishing line behind them, if the adhesive is nice and warm you can use a sawing motion with the fishing line and it comes off pretty easy without scratching the paint. Then use goo gone to get the rest of the adhesive off. Rough up the badge with some sandpaper or something. Pick up some double sided 3m tape, make sure the back of the badge is nice and clean and stick the tape to the badge without peeling the backing off on the side that sticks to the truck. Then use a razor, one of those little pen type things with the pointed blade that people use for crafts and stuff works really well. Cut off all the excess tape. Line-x or paint it. Then peel the backing, press it on the truck very firmly, use the hairdryer again. I did mine about a year ago and they havnt moved or chipped or anything at all. Its a awesome cheap mod

I was thinking paint, but all this plastidip talk has convinced me that linex is the way to go.

 

Flaming orange paint won't cut it! ROFL

Waste of time and money you could use to do something cooler.

 

Def nicer but alot more $$$

 

Linex shop gave me a rattle can for touch ups they use. Stuff is pretty good.

 

Then it is game on. That will look good

 

This will be the 4Runner after a good amount of paint...

 

But it is still just a 4runner

 

So much work involved. You probably should do it with a spray gun and not rattle cans, i bet it would turn out much better

 

And even then, it won't be worth it.

I believe in the Sox and Pats, not rattle can paint jobs.
