I like the FJ:eek: in that color........kinda unsure on our truck. Not sure why I dont like it so much on our truck vs FJ. Maybe the jeep styling cues of the FJ makes it look better. IDK im weird

you make a very valid point my good sir.;) Ya I missed the holiday festivities in Rhody......my truck was at the dealer in CT so I came home for the weekend when I got my truck. Not really too dissapointed as most headshops and growstores gave 20% which I already get being a state caregiver:D. So I didnt miss much and celebrated privately............................as I do everyday anyway;)

edit.......got my TOB bearing done and clutch done.....truck feels and SOUNDS great now. I was thinking about trading it in cuz the chirping was killing me....but the dealer honored my extendo warranty and im chirp free and loving the rig again. Gotta say......my dealer has treated me right and I really feel I'll stick with them when buying my next vehicle.

Lynch in Manchester................I mean......you still have the usual issues of knowing more about your truck than the people dealing with you but I've always gotten good service and very little issues when getting the TSB work done. Pretty good dealership........it almost shocks me that I even say that but its true. Price on the truck wasnt bad either......gave me a decent trade in on a car that was a POS!

Ya I think some sales guy name Kolanji or something was hounding me to buy from westbrook. I made the mistake of making some online inquires and they sent me a million emails.

Ya ......im not trying to get all my service done there by no means......but on this recent visit they did the TOB TSB with pretty much no issues and only added one hour of labor when I asked them to do the plates and flywheel on the clutch. No funny business either on the flywheel.....re surfaced it for 50 bux.

Always easy to deal with and friendly.

Ya i try to do most stuff myself, but i obviously don't have the knowhow of someone like you. I have brought it in 4 times already for PDR, and ill be doing that again soon. I paid for a dent wizard plan when i bought the truck and its already paid for itself. I need to do spark plugs, which i might have the dealership do. Last time replaced spark plugs on my old beater that wasn't firing on all cylinders i couldn't get it to start and had to bring it to a shop :anonymous:

Lol. In my defense i had no idea what i was doing when i did them last time. Learned a little bit since then and theres tons of info on the site so i probably will end up doing them myself.

Do the plugs yourself, it is very simple, even for shade tree mechanic types like us normal people.

Air ratchet?!?! For spark plugs?? In a garage like mine, it'd take longer to get the compressor out and set up than it would take to just do it with a regular manual ratchet.

I was never a fan of an air tool goimg near spark plugs. Some of the guys i worked with used a little butterfly tool and it worked to get them out same as an air ratchet but they broke alot too

Oh ya ill bust out all the air tools that i have. however long it takes you to do something without air tools multiply that by 4 and thats how long it takes me. I think i spent like 10 hours on my suspension :turtleride:

Work on a 3v Ford and you'll know my reasoning behind this. Only do so if the engine is hot and not on a cold head/block and you will be fine. If it is cold you're asking for trouble.

The only plugs ive broken is on a 3v Ford where the plug is a 2 piece design and a 10mm hex. I use the air ratchet with medium speed not zip them out. On installation I use the T handle like you said with some anti-seize on the threads.

Which is the ford that they always break on poss due to being a long service plug. I have a buddy that still works and he is always bitching about the ford " " breaking plugs during the service
