Use truecar.com. They can help you figure out the average selling price for your zip code and help you negotiate a fair price.
Also, if you go at the end of the month to the dealer, they seem to be easier to negotiate with- apparently they have quotas to meet and may be more willing to drop the price to move the truck.

Thought this would be a great place for my first post:

2013 DCLB 4x4, SR5, Tow, Super White w/o entune/nav, Bed Mat and Roof Rack - $28,516. Truecar says I did pretty well for myself in my area.

Yeah you did good, not sure where you are located or the availabilty to other dealser. My local dealer just doesn't budge on prices much like Chevy & Ford dealers will. In Northern Michigan the next closest dealer is an hour away, and then it goes to two hours to the next dealer. I wasn't going to waste my time or gas money trying to save a little on the truck and end up paying the same at the end of the day. I think location and competition has a lot to do with it. Still happy w/ my purchase, just waiting on Vin to ship the Stealth wheels.

I'm also guessing yours came with the slider, tube steps, and floor mats?

First post, seemed like an ideal place to start.

2013 Double Cab, V6, Auto, 4x4 Offroad package, Rubber mats, Tint, Film, Magnetic Gray.

    $30,700 + TaxTag

I configured the truck on TrueCar last night just as listed above without the Tint/Film/Mats option and came up with $29,819 as the sweet spot. Two dealers in my city had the truck in their inventories, and contacted me via email. Their MSRP's were both over $33K.

I went to the nearest one with the TrueCar certificate and printouts of the inventory list from both dealers. The MSRP's were higher than what had been shown on TrueCar because of Tint/Film/Mats. They tried to get me to take the same % reduction (7.83%) but that still put me over $31k.

I told them that the truck I configured was the one I wanted and that I would try the other dealer and see if he would get me back under $30K. They broke down the tint/film to $399 each and the mats to $299 and said those were real dealer costs that I was paying. I told him I would take the mats (because I wasn't leaving without mats) and that if he took off the $800 for film and tint I would take the truck. That got me down to $30,700.

I added a comprehensive service plan up to 60k miles for $580 because he offered to take my interest rate down to %2.54 from %2.99 if i bought the plan. Between oil changes and the 30K service I would have to pay for it seemed like the half percent wasn't that bad a deal. If I cancel the service within 60 days that $580 is subtracted from principal and I still have the lower interest rate.

It was a little work but I'm happy with the results.

St. Pete is in the Tampa Bay area of FL. Finding a Toyota dealer and getting them to move on price a little bit isn't the hard part down here, finding a 4x4 DCLB was the really hard part. 4x4's in general are pretty rare down here in favor of the Prerunners.

2013 DCLB, 4x4, trd sport & tow package

I think they are undervaluing my trade in by $1000 or so but won't budge.

    None yet :D.
I just picked up my SR5 4x4 crewcab, towing package.
It has nearly everything other than the suspension setup of the TRD.

Sticker was 31250ish. I think with all the BS added it rounded up to about 33k
Keep in mind these sale here like big macs, literally you have no choice on color/combo unless your willing to wait months for it to be built. So they go alittle higher on the price.
Ne wayz I had some positive equity, and walked out of the finance managers office took off looking for my Titans keys and they finally got out the door for 29k even.
I really didn't think I would ever pay that much for a small truck but here in NC they are the highest value keeping thing ever made.
They sale here with over 100k miles for 22 or 23k.
Anyways my Titan was modded and extremely attractive on the outside, but inside she was bland and had a incureable thirst for gasOline.
I am happy with my choice, the Tacoma drives so good. I just wish everyone could see what the quality of these trucks are.

Hey there members, I'm new to this forum & planning to get a new Tacoma truck sometime soon.

I did a BUILD at a local Toyota dealer website & trying to see or get an idea what's a reasonable negotiable price.

In the spirit of following the rules here it is: white Baja, tow, tint, flip tires (I hate white letters), carpet floor mats, and bed mat. MSRP - $37,661, $3,200 off MSRP. Trade value was good enough that I did not want to mess with selling on my own. Best part of this deal was I drove the 2009 88,000 miles and 4 years 1 month at a cost of less than $6k. Even finance rate at dealer beat lowest on net by .05%.

Just bought my 2013 Tacoma DCSB 4x4, Off Road, Towing, Carpet Mats, Nautical Blue

    $32,975 MSRP

$31,261 paid price and No Sales Tax in Oregon. 1.99% loan.

They had to bring it in from a dealer 200 miles away. This was the easiest price negotiating ever for me and I have bought a lot of cars over the years. All negotiating was via email and telephone. I had 3 dealers bidding. I used Consumer Reports, TrueCar, and Costco. The best price seemed to come from the "costco price".

We agreed on the price before I walked into the dealership. I walked in, took the rig on a test drive, and then signed the paperwork. No hassle.

Mine was the easiest ever too. The only person I dealt with was the sales director. He handled the whole thing start to finish. Even did the trade appraisal.

Every Baja I saw on dealer websites in KC came without graphics. In Texas they do not order them that way. I think it is a Gulf States thing. Gulf States tries to load trucks up with over priced options. I really did not want the graphics. I ended up just negotiating the price down to close to what i wanted. You all that do not have to deal with Gulf States are fortunate.
