TRD took 2013 Fit Kit off the market?

Hello. First post.

Been negotiating on 2013 Baja with dealer-installed supercharger. Ready to pull trigger but now dealer says TRD is "redesigning" the fit kit and it's presently not available and there is no specific ETA.

Really? I've searched the forums extensively and can't find any corroboration.

The Dallas dealer lists 2013 fit kit on their TRD website.

Anybody know anything?

Should fit no problem. Don't think much has changed. Maybe it's not worth their while.

I would lean toward them simply not knowing what they are talking about. Most likely because they have never installed a TRD SC on a Tacoma.

I've had my dealer installed TRD Supercharger on my 2013 DBL Cab a little over a month now and no issues so far.

 

Now they're telling me the 2013 has a new head design and that's why it needs a new fit kit! Seriously, I can't find anything to substantiate THAT claim.

Weird I just ordered mine at work and there where 7 S/C in stock and 6 fit kits... No restrictions...

 

I was in Hawaii a week ago... You're a lucky dog! Dang I saw a lot of Tacos! Must be the most prevalent ride on Kauai and maybe Maui.

So yours is a 2013? My dealer is p*ssing me off. They say they've called TRD and keep hearing that the "2013 fit kit redesign" hasn't been released yet. But everybody on the Internet seems to be able to get the boost for their 2013.

Unfortunately I don't really have a choice of dealers...

 

Call around. I know you're 3+ hours away from an alternative dealer, Capital Motors in Pierre seems to move a lot of inventory and might have better answers.

 

Just checked right now it's not on stop sale, it's available, only difference is it no longer comes with the emissions label that is need for like California.

 

The tacoma is the state truck of Hawaii.
My 2013 NBM DCSB Sport is on order should arrive 3rd week of may. I'm just assembling my goodies, lift, tires, nerf, boost...you know, the usual suspects...
