I think it's the angle of the pic; I should've taken it more from the side vs. angle. But the measurements are equal for both sides: 23 inches from center of wheel cap to the bottom of the fender on both sides at 20 psi. :)

    Thanks for the tip!

I assumed it was the air valve on top of the air bags. When I was originally installing the bags, I remember I left quite a bit of thread on the valve (i.e. not tightened down all the way). So I got under the truck and tightened it down (1 additional full turn) and pumped it up to 50 psi and checked for leaks with soap water. Couldn't see any air bubbles, so I assume this fixed the slow leak.

Checked pressure today and it seems to be holding! :)

Will just have to check pressure periodically and make sure it stays relatively the same.

Awesome man! I hope this post helps you out!

Be sure to come back and post about your instal etc.

Also, here's a heads-up: 1) READ and UNDERSTAND the instructions, 2) make sure you have ALL the tools needed before you start (I learned this the hard way lol), 3) take your time, and 4) measure twice and cut once (i.e. the air hoses)!

Nice set up! I also tow a lot, and just got a camper, which is heavier on the drivers side. So now my truck has a bit of a roll to it. I don't know much about air suspension, is this set up going to limit travel at all? I also do a lot of wheeling and want to keep max flex. I also have OBA, is there an easy way to set this system up so that you can fill from the cab?

The air bag suspension will definitely eliminate the roll your experiencing!

As far as limiting travel, I'm not too sure and don't want to misguide you! I really don't plan on doing any heavy/extreme off-roading, so not sure how the bags would handle off-road; but my guess would be moderate to severe stiffness.

Firestone does sell "in-cab" kits for installing gauges and switches from inside the cab. Based on watching a few videos on YouTube, it looks pretty simple to install and setup.

Invest in a reciprocating saw! The bump stops are a BI@TCH to get off with a hacksaw!

    You'll thank me later :)

I was also wondering about the articulation. I sent Firestone an email and asked how it would effect stock suspension as well as any suspension with increased travel. Below is their reply,

"No, the bags do not limit the suspension, the kits are made for factory and stock vehicles so most of the time when the truck has been lifted or lowered the kit either won’t work or you will have to add a spacer or something, but I would have to know all the specifics of the truck to be able to tell. But if the truck hasn’t been lifted and you just added parts that would give it more travel then yes you could run into trouble on that."

Your bags look like theyre bellowed. but the ones i just ordered off of Amazon look like its one solid air bag (one cylinder, not pancaked). when you ordered them off of amazon did the picture look different from the product received?

Nice job! You will be happy with them.

I put mine up to 60 psi to tow my 5-5,500 lbs trailer.

Yeah 2 hour install BS. I spend like you 3.5-4 hours to install and i am a mechanic. But it did take me an hour to realize to remove the spare to give me a space to sit and it was 45 degrees out and windy.:(

Just a few tips for anyone else doing this.

    3-4 hours to do.

If you have big hands good luck. And don't do in cool weather.

Remove spare tire. (place to sit up)

Put jack stands under frame rails. (I used 4. 2 for support and 2 as back up safety) And chock the front wheels.

Put floor jack under differential to be able to move up and down.

Now you will be wanting one of these? Can't wait to get mine installed.
