Here in RI we have the clean drivers thing, If you haven't had a citation in 3 years you must appeal guilty and they will drop the charges. I have a court date this Thursday for dodging potholes I was written a $195 ticket, also got the entire field test for a drunk driver i was sober obv. but there is no need for a test and a breathalizer when i passed with FLYING colors.

Yep I do did not see any flashing lights or kids thought speed limit was 30 so to be on the safe side was going 29. Oh well just paid the fine and I should be ok for another 20 years if I live that long. Cop was cool but not that cool.

Usually in my area if you are respectful to the officer they will let you off with a warning but not always.

Only ticket I've ever got was for doing 65 in a 50 on a 2 lane back road down in Delaware. No points and $58 fine. Same ticket here in PA probably would have been 3-4 times that.

No offense dude but I HATE when people do that. I live on the Woonsocket line and there's a section of road where people seem to think its perfectly fine to swerve into oncoming traffic just to avoid a little bump. Way more dangerous than some speeding situations IMO

Fight it! In my younger, more lead-footed days I got 3 tickets in 3 different states I was living in and took all three to court and got all three reduced. No need to hire a lawyer, it's a waste for a speeding ticket. Wear your Sunday best and get their early in case their is an opportunity to talk to the prosecutor before hand.

First one in Texas: Cop didn't show, ticket was dropped, no court fees. Judge said "85 in a 65...hell, that aint bad!"

2nd one in NM: Didn't admit guilt, but didn't deny either (don't remember how fast I was going, it was very early). 6 month suspended sentence, $35 court fee.

3rd in Idaho: Judge offered to drop if I plead guilty to non-moving violation (aka parking ticket). $50 fine, $25 court cost.

Just tell her only speak when spoken to, do not admit anything, and if it goes that far request "mercy of court for first time offender". Just about every judge will go easy on a first time offender, especially when the people in front of you are on their second and third DWI/DUI:eek:

No it doesn't. SHP writes tix to the area court... So no matter if it was SHP or Marietta, still going to Marietta mayors court.
