Hello, I am BRAND new to this forum, and i have a few questions..

1st, I have a BONE stock 2005 SR5 tacoma 4x4, i want to get a leveling kit, and bigger tires with 17'' rims. now.. whats a good, CHEAP leveling kit. we dont go off roading, just across fields and stuff for hay.

2nd, whats the BIGGEST tire i can run with a stock tacoma? we need a good tire that will LAST but is still bigger than stock..

so if yall can help, and please feel free to post pics!!! thanks!!!

Most leveling kits that people go for around here are the Bilstein 5100's where you can set the front up to 2.5"s.

Check my stats, only you'll want 17's.

Get some Bilsteins from Sonny at Downsouth Motorsports and set them at 1.75.

Those billies are about $150 more than my $100 Daystar leveling kit. Im sure the 5100's are great but if you dont ever go wheeling just get the TSB done and a Daystar leveling kit like me. My truck runs great and I dont ever wheel it.

Mine is just the Daystar 2.5" top plate spacer. I believe thats the only one they make for our trucks. You can honestly do it yourself. All you need to pay for is the alignment. 0 issues with mine. Rides straight and great.

I picked mine up at a local 4 wheel parts but you could get it online from 4wheelparts.com or even the Daystar website.

Is that a 2.5 leveling kit? or a lift kit?

My understanding is that "leveling" only refers to lifting the front.....By this definition, mine is lifted because I'm up 1.5" in the rear as well.Leveling is just that,it removes the factory rake (nose slightly down).I like that stance,so I did the rear as well

Edited to add:Sorry,if you were referring to the Readylift kit,yes it only levels the front end....What you do with the rear is up to you.
