MagnaFlow exhaust, K&N cold air intake, MB TKO wheels with 265/75/r16 Hankook Dynapro ATM, Blue Center shift LED color change, Map Lights with Dome, LED Map and Dome lights, Cluster Light Change, DTRL, Parking Light as Blinker, Blue A/C Control lights, Blue Clock, Bed Lights, Debadged tailgate, painted all exterior plastic trim, 6LZ Lightbars in grille, OTRATTW switches, Fog Light in Reverse light Mod, LED Blinkers all around, Projector Fog Lights, 15" blitzpro light bar, added hidden cig lighter port, custom plate front bumper, OME complete lift with 885 front coils, Ultraguage, CB radio 3' whips, 12v bed lighter port, Center Console Lights, AllProOffroad Sliders, 50" roof led light bar, 2 BlitzPro 6LZ Reverse Lights
I wasn’t going to do a write up on this but I had inquires so I’m going ahead and doing it. I mounted 2 BlitzPro 6LZ light bars on the stock grille. I mounted these behind the stock grille and no light is blocked by it.

    Tools needed.
    Cutting pliers or dremel
    Screw drivers/ socket set
    Screws and nuts (Autozone)
    Wire (Radioshack)
    Relay(RadioShack)
    Electrical Tape (RadioShack)
    Switch (RadioShack)

First off I found it best to remove the grille from the truck as space is tight especially around the horns.

Now you need to measure center and then mark it so that you have 3” on either side so you know where to cut. (The lights are roughly 6”)

Then you need to cut to make them fit. I used cutting pliers, which go the job done, but a dremel would have been quicker and a lot neater. But you can’t see the cutting from the front so neatness wasn’t top priority.
Cut, with either tool, almost all the way to the front so that the light can fit flush with the back of the plastic.

You will need to remove the left ridge. The right one can stay as it won’t get in the way but that’s what it looks like.

Now that it has been cut you just need to screw the lights on. It was tricky as the space was tight and there isn’t a lot of room between the light itself and its bracket.
I predrilled two holes that I marked after placing and finding center. (Lacking a drill bit I used self-tapping screws to drill)
I found it best, because of the space to bolt it from the bottom up and have the nut on top. After a lot of struggling and a beer later I had it bolted up and I repeated for the other side.

The top picture is just the light bars on and the bottom is all my lights on.

To wire up the lights I followed this schematic.

Hey, I appreciate this! You are the man. Now to decide on the 2 6LZ bars or a 21" or all three ;]!

All three if you can do it! But the 21" would over power the 2 6LZ's. You could essentially do the same concept with the 21" but go on the bottom supports instead of the middle.

My question is do these lights get hot? If so will they melt or warp the plastic grill. I had some KC daylighters back in the day and they were very bright and very hot.

I can't say how hot they get as I haven't had them long enough nor have I run them more than 20 min or so. I'll keep that in mind and watch for that.

Anyone tried a longer bar mounted in the center behind the emblem?

My 24" Vision X bar gets hot and would melt the grill rather fast. Takes awhile to get hot but still I think after a night wheeling trip the grill would be toast.

I'm not sure where the heat is coming from on your lights but the plastic on the grill is cut away from the lights so the only contact is the mount. I haven't done a heat test yet but driving with them on for an hour yielded no melting.
