I feel like 27 was a good age to start kids, not to young or too old.

Yeah Sarah and I are thinking 26-27 is good for us but we will see! Wait for a stable home, income, and career. Then all bets are off!

Hey anybody thinking of a toolbox for your rig: I came across this site tonight after endless searches for just what I wanted--an in-the-bed box I can ratchet-tie in place and not obstruct the bed rails. I got a 32"x12"x12" black powdercoated aluminum made in the USA box for only $144:cool:. They have lots of other truck shtuff too. Here's tha link:

Thats a good price. I have a chest style toolbox already. Same deal i didn't want it to sit on the bed rails because i needed that area for my racks to mount to.

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
My wife and I spent six hours out of the house today without our son... It was fucking incredible.

While raising a child is an experience unlike any other, and rewards only another parent would understand, that shit will change your life as you know it, forever. Be warned. ;)

My wife and I decided on One and done...Pregnancy was very tough on her and we realized that financially it's sooo much easier to have 1 kid. It's easier on trips...vacations...etc to only have to make 1 bathroom stop...My brother has 3 and my sister also has 3 kids and all they do is move from kid to kid taking care of issues whenever they go anywhere. We have made far more trips than any of our multi-child family friends..Cruises...camping...cape and the islands for a weekend on a whim...We actually had long discussions about it and talked with single child friends and they all said they liked the benefits of being a single child over the siblings they may have missed out on. Plus we have 8 cousins within 10 min drive :)
In central mass it was $1000 a month for quality childcare...we spent over $50K on childcare before the kid even hit school! I couldn't imagine doing that 2 or 3 more times. I know people say you will find a way to pay...but I think it's pretty responsible to be this financially aware...

Plus it leaves me more time to pay taxes to give away to those who had kids without employment or a stable family environment..

    Love u MASS!

Very good point with the one and done. I'm in somewhat of a bind for the future of my family. I'm the last Emelianoff and I definitely want the name to go on. I've already told Sarah that I didn't care if we had 17 kids, we aren't stopping until we have at least one boy to carry my awesome last name/lineage.

Now if my firstborn is a son, we might decide on a second, maybe not.

Being an only child was lonely. I wish I had a brother/sister to teach/learn from. I wish I had someone to take the brunt off of my mistakes sometimes (blame game lol). I wish I had someone to play catch with because my dad was unable to. I have friends who are like a brother/sister to me, but I wish they were family. There all the time.

Benefits of being an only child on the other hand.... Where do I start? More toys, less sharing! Moar Mickey Mouse time at Disney, less having to share him in a photo. More constant attention from my parents (although when I got into my teens my mom drove me insane. That's why I chose to live with my dad when they divorced). More time with my grandparents. I grew up right down the road from their house and have a great bond with them. Something I feel I wouldn't have had if I had siblings.

There are pros and cons for both sides. I can wish all I want, but I'm more than content with my life :)

I can somewhat relate to you Alex..I was the older of the 2, my sister is 3 yrs younger. There was limited need for sharing most of the time but sometimes it did suck.

And you hit it with the last sentence, being content with what you do have is something many never learn to do.

Sounds like the meet and great was a good time. I spent about 6hrs spreading mulch and doing other bs yard work. Oh well, at least I should be able to make it next weekend

I'm almost 23, had an awesome wedding two weeks ago, and prob planning on kids within the next 2-3 years... definitely want 2. i have friends that are only-childs and they suck to hang out with most of the time. everything is about them, AND you always know when youre talking to someone who is an only child  plus, my sister (18 months apart) is by far my best friend, i couldnt imagine not having a relationship like that, and i want that for my kids too.

Sounds like y'all had a good time, sorry I missed it. I did however find multiple trails that are stock friendly and less than 30min from where I camp a lot.
Looking forward to this weekends meet and wheel!! Definitely going to make it. Going to look for a camp spot close to where we are going and hopefully make it a mini vacation.

I did, the most southern one you spoke of. The maps were a help but I chose another method information gathering. I asked the guy at the gas station with the dirty truck, that worked great this time, found a treasure trove of trails from him! Thank you again for helping.

My friend has some land up that way that I use as camp. Maybe we can organize an overnight in the future. Do some wheeling, do some camping????
