Sometimes I get a random itch thought to consider trading in the tacoma and trying out a brand new Jeep 4 door Unlimited Rubicon. Anyone ever else get thoughts of trading? Not sure why...I just like switching up a lot.

I'd love a Prerunner V6 Access Cab W/ the TRD Sport Package in Nautical Blue. :) But I think I'm gonna' wait a couple more years for the 3rd generation Tacoma.

its not that I dont love my tacoma because I do. It does all I need as well. I just have some kind of fetish with switching.

You and me both, but I have never been smart about it. I think I have owned about 10 cars/trucks in the 10 years I have been driving. The longest one I had was my Dodge Charger, 4 years and the shortest was a Mazda RX-8. 8 months. Always upside down cause I'm DUMB. I am a total car guy too so once the truck is paid down a bit more (not upside down) it might be traded for another modern muscle car. Not sure yet, the wife loves trucks and has a Tacoma of her own so maybe I'll give it to her and get myself something.

It is nice to move around vehicles. The best way to do it is to have the car paid off or A lease. With a lease you can have a new car every two years! I think if your not upside down then go for it. I have been considering selling my truck and getting a different truck. I owe about 8 grand on my truck so I think I would come out way ahead. Considering the condition and miles.

Question and this will most likely vary from you to me but. Why did you trade it in for a Tacoma, over the car thing? I can tell you why I bought my Truck haha was an impulse buy for sure, do I regret it, meh yes and no. I like speed vs off roading and for some reason my brain says that taking the truck out and wheeling is harder than raping the engine or other components on a track day.

    Thoughts?

Nope. Unless the trade-in was a koenigsegg the taco is my first choice.

I understand completely. A new car or truck is always a bad financial move, but I love 'em.

I have never once even had the notion much less the itch. All other trucks are inferior in my opinion.

    back to bone stock.
no way. i havent had a car payment since 1998!! it took just keeping one truck 10 years to get way ahead. i can buy a new truck now with savings.

i am so over paying for something depreciating before my eyes..i dont know how anyone can keep trading and maintaining a payment. how do you get ahead?

my next truck will happen when this thing gets killed, or it dies on it's own. then probably a DCSB. silver of course. cash money.

I got the itch and went from a sports car into my Tacoma. Now I wouldn't even consider a different vehicle, so happy with my decision.
