Ok so is it recommended that you have spacers installed at or above a certain lift height?? I have 2" in the rear are spacers needed before anything bad happens??

If you driveshaft yoke is seated in the transmission then no , But if like the op's picture then yes you should or spend extra money for a longer driveshaft. You can see in the picture on the left how it should be and on right how not.

Nevermind I see from your pic. Thanks. So I take it your referring to the pic where it has about an inch or so of the yoke not inside the transmission? Im not to familiar with the driveshaft stuff.

Mine was covered under the Toyota extended warranty. Not sure what they installed. Can you tell by looking at it if it's greasable one or not?

Edit: I didn't pay $1200 as it was covered under warranty. I just happened to look at how much it cost. I only paid a $50 deductable.

So I ran into yet another problem! The yoke on the propeller shaft that's on the transmission needs to be replaced but I need a part number and can't seem to find it. Help please?! The dealership wants $878 for the whole propeller shaft and yoke but I just need the yoke

go to your local driveshaft place and they can probably find you an aftermarket yoke at 1/10 the price.

Man.... This is scary! I just installed an AP Expo leaf pack in the rear two weeks ago, and also noticed my yoke and CB looked like this (sorry for the iphone pics):

I also don't have any weight in the back so I'm netting 4". I guess I'll try to load up the bed with some weight and break in the leafs (bringing it down to 3"). Maybe that will move the drive line forward a bit?

    Is this incredibly unsafe?

I've been checking the u-joints, they look pretty good, and there's no play when I try to twist sections opposite directions.

60k on the truck. Reading through this thread and seeing they're really only good for 100k, some going bad at 75k? That sucks. Def going to get some greasable ones in the future. I opened a can of worms!

I put a 1.5 AAL on the rear with some new taller billies and coilovers upfront over a year ago. I have noticed a strange vibe/noise at highway speeds (over 55). The sound only occurs when I let my foot off the gas. If I re-apply light pressure to the gas pedal, the sound goes away.

Anyone else experience this? And Ill be under the truck bright and early with a bucket of grease!!

Also, I have an 08 4x4 regular cab. Greaseable U-Joints? Ive never even checked this shit out. Im a bad owner :(

Check the u joints even if you have a Prerunner. My 2012 has jerk fittings in the u joints.

No. Your asking a lot of a Ujoint to run at that great an angle it most likely was telling you for a long time it was going to fail.
