I was there to what a great day it was. Snow boarding was awesome. Did any of you see the motorcycle wreck on the Seward highway just out side of town. I haven't heard any news of it but the biker didn't look to good he was laying on the ground motionless. Hopefully he's alright

Got back from Whittier a few hours ago. Just went out to the truck and noticed an 8" pool of oil under the truck... I think it's differential or CV related, not engine. It seems to be coming from the passenger side inner CV where it meets the diff. Hard to tell though. Here's a pic from under the CV. Hopefully this won't set me back too much...

well son of a B. I'm glad it's only that and not my engine haha. Someone told me they saw a massive puddle of oil under my truck and I thought the worst. I looked in there pretty damn good and as far as I can tell, it definitely is not coming from above it so that's gotta be what it is.

Id advise taking it to the shop. U have to mark the drive shafts how they came off and put them on the same way. They are timed a certain way with the rest of the motor so if u dont you could end up getting vibration and have to take it back to the shop anyways to have them balance it for you. Just a thought :)

Lol yup your seal on the inside is toast. Careful driving because the oil in there is also the same stuff in your tranny so u dont wanna mess up ur gears.

The front diff and tranny share oil? Odd, never heard of that. I dropped it off today at youngs gear. Should have it tomorrow. I asked them about my carrier bearing so they checked out the drive line and said its in excellent condition. So now I'm thinking what I thought was CB related might just be bad shock bushings in the rear. At least that's what I'm hoping for. Brand new OME shocks should fix that right up ;)

Nice! Where did you get them from? I've been eyeballing them too. Still think I'll go with the duratracs, but those looks good too.
