    Doing some cast concrete sills that will wrap around the foundation of the house I am working on and serve as the transistion between the siding above and 5" natural stove veneer below

    Typical form with drip edge , 3/8" redi rod pins that will later be epoxied into holes in the foundation and block lock reinforcing mesh

    These pillar caps slope in 4 directions towards the middle from 3 1/2" to 4" thick , I used a jig to set my heights to a screw I set at the correct height in the centre of the cap form ( screw removed after heights set )

    What is the brown coating on the forms? Is it just an oil based paint to help with mould release?

    The brown colour is the paper , I use paper faced form plywood , there is a form release coating painted on as well but it is pretty much colourless

    Asbestos up there is likely around pipes. If so, just don't disturb them. Don't forget we lived around that crap for years before anyone knew anything.....and survived for the most part. No biggie IMO.

    If there is asbestos present the fibres would have become airborne when they cut the hole , that is the problem with the stuff

    I would demand a test and go from there
