Well here she is ... an '09 TRD sport w/ long bed... I did a few things to it like debadge and black out the emblems. Shorty antenna, wind guards for the window and a shield for the hood. I dont know if i over did it with all the bug and window shields but this is the first time i'm trying things on a truck....

Nice truck, mine will be in tomorrow. I traded my Pyrite however, as beautiful as it is clean, it doesn't work for me in my environment.

ahhh i'm guessing you went with silver than. My last vehicle was silver and as low maintenance as it was it was than i realized that like 1 out of 3 cars on the road is silver so i decided I wouldnt do silver again. The window visors and the bugshield are both from weathertech. The wind visors nicely tuck into the weather strip and are very low profile and the bug shield uses the empty holes under the hood to attach to using locking screws. Now i just need to get a TRD blower, some rock sliders,a bull guard and i'll be ready to tear chicago winters

Does the bugshield touch or rub anywhere on the hood? Could you get some close up pics of the bugshield and how close it sits to the paint?

It sits about a 1/4 from the paint at the lowest point and they give you a couple clear rubber stops to put underneath it just in case it touches....heres a pic....

Razorecko- I actually went with magnetic gray, pretty close to my old Tundra. Not a silver fan, they are everywhere, but certainly the best for hiding dirt. In the months that I had my Pyrite, the only other vehicle I saw in that color was a Rav4, and it looked awesome. Wasn't bashing your color choice, it is a sweet color, but on my dirt roads it always made the truck look old and run down. My bug shield mounts under the hood in those same empty holes, it doesn't come near the paint and is very rigid.

Yea the only other color that comes close to the pyrite is the magnetic. I didnt see any around at the time and i was pretty enthralled with the pyrite. A blacked out/ pyrite taco would look mighty good.

Thanks...the secret is using Ace Hardware's BBQ Paint :D:D , just go right over the chrome and it dries in like 10 minutes per coat. No need to sand or add adhesion promotor , nada. Gives a nice even satin black color. And is reallllly hardy, hell its bbq paint

    Just the basics
A blacked out pyrite would be great.
This is a great color even if it is a brown color which I normally don't prefer-light or dark.
