Right, I've learned my lesson as well and do not trust Carfax for a full vehicle history report. Many serious items may not make the report if done privately to preserve perceived value. As well, kind of off topic, I will never purchase from Carmax again.

Had bought a vehicle from Carmax that they stated was in great condition and had never been wrecked. Actaully lucked out that I bought an extended warranty because I always had something wrong with the vehicle. So much had been fixed and replaced over the years that I almost didn't want to get rid of it...anyway come to find out, when I go to sell it the thing had been wrecked and airbags deployed before it was a year old. Carmax bought it at auction and sold it as if nothing had ever happened to it. end long story short.

I would like to thank everyone for their taking the time to help me out with this. I did contact my insurance to see by tiny chance they may help fix it. The answer was NOPE because it was a previous repair gone bad.
I figured, but thought I would try. I am going to take it to a body shop and see what I can work out with them. Luckily, I know the owner so maybe he will give me a break. Ideally, I would like to put a different roof on, but not sure that is going to be affordable for me. Live and Learn,
ticks me off that it was not fixed correctly in the first place. Will let you know what I find out from the body shop. Thanks again everybody.

    don't fear the bondo...

a good bondo repair should never have issues.
they can last well past a dozen years when done correctly
